“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
Have you always been afraid of the dark? How far has your imagination gone with monsters in your bed and in your closet at night?
What can a shadow do? It can never harm you, it can never take hold of you. It can only go as far as scare you but it cannot physically abuse you or kill you. However, it is afraid of the light.
Think about these SHADOWS. Think of what makes a shadow. The presence of light casts the shadows away. To fear no evil even if you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, now that is quite a daunting task, you may think. However, where there is shadow, there is LIGHT!
Strive to be a light that will cast other people’s shadows away; that they may find comfort in the light that you give, the same way you find comfort in the Shepherd!
