“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
Have you ever lived behind someone else’s shadow, uncertain of your own identity? Sometimes, others may identify you as your father’s son or your mother’s daughter, but never by your name. How does it make you feel?
Others feel lost for not being able to identify themselves as the unique individual that they are, living in the shadow, their true selves hidden behind cabinets.
This verse is a reminder of our image. We shouldn’t be behind someone else’s shadow. We are uniquely created in God’s image. We are His and not someone else’s someone. We are we. You are you.
So stop mulling over being someone else’s someone. Live as you were created – not to be someone else, but to be the beautiful created man that you are, likened unto God’s image, able and capable!
